The Details
Full event details/briefing packs will be emailed to all competitors 2 weeks out from race weekend.
The 25KM course will take you along some beautiful trails with some nice hills to keep you honest. Starting at the Upper Picnic area, you head along Station drive, and take the SH2 underpass to explore the forestry trails on the other side of the motorway. You basically do a loop here before coming back along the start of Station drive.
Head along Goat Rock Track slightly before taking Bee Line MB trail until you pop out on Goat Rock, and take Taniwha trail down to 250 East climb. Head up here, and back down to Station Drive.
After you pop out back on Station Drive, head towards Upper Picnic area. Keep following the trail through the Mangaroa tunnel where you'll need your headlight!
Follow the marked trail around Pondys loop, then up towards the firebreak track which is nice and steep before you hit Climie. Simply head up, cross the mat at the top, turn around at the cone, and head straight back down to the Upper Picnic finish line! Phew!
